When I was 33, I discovered myths from Japan and around the world.
The vivid and dynamic presence of the deities gave me strength and lifted my spirits.
I became interested not only in the deities who play active roles, but also in those who don’t appear, those who stay are treated as villains. Visiting shrines and exploring local legends gradually became one of my favorite pastimes.
